(A)FANTASY on tilallinen kokonaisuus, joka muodostuu syväpainovedoksista, valosta ja noesta. Syväpainovedokset on painettu kuparilaatoilta, jotka on syövytetty akvatinta, avo- ja syväsyövytysmenetelmin. Paperiset vedokset on installoitu tilaan monin eri tavoin: kehystettyinä, pohjustettuina, seinälle tai erilaisille tasoille tavutettuina, taitettuina tai litistettyinä.

Kokonaisuus käsittelee kuvallisuuden reunaehtoja sekä kuvan suhdetta keholliseen kokemukseen. Keskiössä ovat myös valokuvalliset kysymykset. (a)Fantasy lähestyy valokuvaa aiheena itse asian poissaolon kautta. Yksikään kokonaisuuden teoksista ei sisällä minkäänlaista todellista (valo)kuvallista referenssiä. Ydinkysymykseksi tiivistyykin: mistä teosten valokuvallinen kaiku nousee?

(A)FANTASY is a spatial entity consisting of copper etchings, light and soot. Intaglio prints are printed from copper plates etched with aquatint, open bite and relief etching methods. The paper prints are installed in the space in multiple ways: framed, mounted, bended, folded or flattened.

The entity of printed works deals with the questions of image and body, and how an image can reach towards a bodily experience. The question of the photograph is also on focus. But the approach is based on the idea of absence. None of the works in the ensemble contains any kind of concrete (photo)pictorial reference. The core of the exhibition boils down to a question: where does the sense of the photograph raise from?
